About Al Pacino

Al Pacino is an American actor and filmmaker who has had a career spanning over five decades.

He is widely considered to be one of the greatest and most influential actors of all time.

Pacino was born in New York City in 1940 and began acting at age 17 when he joined the Actors Studio in New York City.

It was at the Actors Studio that he first developed his famous “method” acting technique.

Pacino’s breakout role came in 1972 when he played Michael Corleone in The Godfather, for which he received an Oscar nomination for Best Actor.

Pacino has also won numerous awards and accolades throughout his career, including eight Golden Globe Awards, two Academy Awards, and three British Academy Film Awards.

He is also a recipient of the AFI Lifetime Achievement Award.

In addition to his acting work, Pacino has also directed films such as Chinese Coffee and Wilde Salome.

Al Pacino became renowned for his role as Michael Corleone in Coppola‘s saga, The Godfather.

His real name is Alfonso James Pacino.
