Movie Review

A spectacular show, pure Spielberg, pure entertainment. Many will consider it “for children” (like many of the director’s films) that if… that… forget it – cinema was born to have a deep effect upon people and, let’s bow to the proof here, Jurassic Park is one of the films that has had the most impact in the history of cinema.

And if you want, we can debate the point.

Fantastic, pure “know-how” at the service of entertainment. Exquisitely shot scenes (as always with Spielberg) and everything at the service of the scenes, from the special effects to these little creatures that now live in the collective imagination of the West.

And besides, let’s take a bow, it has a couple of really masterful sequences like the T-Rex and the car. To frame the direction. Editing: ten points, effects… no comments.

We don’t give it the full ten points because of the acting and the script… it’s not a script movie and it doesn’t try to be. Everything is at the service of the image and that we see the fierce creatures created by Industrial Light & Magic that are just marvellous.

As a cinematic show: one of the best movies ever made.

I mean, as a spectacle. In terms of “art house”, at least for  the time being, not much to say there.

Our Opinion

One of the most impressive films of its time. Pure entertainment in an art form that was born to entertain.
