Joaquin Phoenix is an American actor, producer, and animal rights activist. Films he known for and been awarded for are, among many other productions, Joker (2019), The Master (2012), and Her (2013).

Joaquin Rafael Phoenix was born on October 28, 1974 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He is a Scorpio….

Known for playing dark and unconventional characters in independent film, he is the recipient of various accolades, including an Academy Award, a British Academy Film Award, a Grammy Award, and two Golden Globe Awards. In 2020, he was ranked 12th on the list of the 25 Greatest Actors of the 21st Century by The New York Times.

Phoenix has won practically every Award possible in his acting career, especially thanks to Joker, Academy Award for Best Actor. He has also starred in The Master (2012), the film directed by Paul Thomas Anderson.

He played the bad guy in Gladiator (Ridley Scott) and we love him in Walk the Line (2005), a biography of Johnny Cash.
