“Onmyoji”: Synopsis
In the ancient and prosperous city of Kyoto, the court musician, Minamoto Hiromasa, grandson of Emperor Daigo, seeks the help of the official yin-yang diviners. He longs to uncover the mysteries behind the troublesome demons that plague the city. During his visit, he encounters the enigmatic onmyoji, Abe Seimei, who possesses an otherworldly aura. Hiromasa is initially dismayed by Seimei’s disinterest in the mundane world and reluctance to assist. However, together they confront the demons responsible for the incidents. Along their journey, they discover the elusive onmyoji, Ashiya Doman, lurking in the shadows.
Joined by Hiromasa’s flute teacher, Imperial Prince Atsumi, the emperor’s own onmyoji, Kamo Yasunori, and Lady Tsuyuko, who becomes involved due to a particular case, the group’s emotions intertwine like threads. Will Seimei and Hiromasa be able to bring peace back to the capital?
The fate of these unlikely companions is set in motion, as their journey begins now.
