The Tailor is a series created by Onur Güvenatam, starring Çağatay Ulusoy, Salih Bademci and Şandifanur Gül.

The tailor (Terzi) is a Turkish drama series that chronicles the journey of Peyami Dokumacı, a skilled tailor who inherits his late grandfather’s business. Despite his talent, Peyami grapples with inner turmoil and a troubled past, haunted by his mother’s death and the concealed truths his grandfather left behind.

When Peyami’s father, Mustafa, arrives in Istanbul, he is compelled to confront his own history. Mustafa, who has spent most of his life in a mental institution, is a source of shame for Peyami, prompting him to keep his father hidden from the world. However, as time goes on, Peyami realizes he cannot neglect Mustafa’s needs.

Amidst his struggles to care for his father, Peyami finds himself developing feelings for a young woman named Esvet. Esvet is a mysterious individual with her own hidden past, fleeing from an abusive relationship and viewing Peyami as a sanctuary.

“The Tailor” is an intricate and deeply moving drama that delves into themes of family, love, and grief.

Çağatay Ulusoy

Çağatay Ulusoy (born 23 September 1990) is a Turkish actor and model who started his acting career in the TV series Adını Feriha Koydum (2011–2012) as Emir Sarrafoğlu. Since then, he has had further lead roles in Medcezir (2013–2015), a remake of the television series The O.C., in the TV series İçerde and from 2018 to 2020 he played the lead role in the first Turkish Netflix series The Protector. Ulusoy has been a recipient of several awards, including Golden Butterfly Award, Elle style awards, GQ Man of the Year Turkey, and GQ Middle East Television Star of the year.

Salih Bademci

Salih Bademci

Salih Bademci is a Turkish actor. Bademci is a graduate of Bornova Anadolu Lisesi. He began his acting career in 1994 with a minor role, but gained recognition when he made his main debut in Serdar Akar’s film Barda. He later transitioned to television, appearing in the popular period series Elveda Rumeli. His notable roles in period dramas include “Öyle Bir Geçer Zaman Ki”, “Fatih”, and “Kulüp”. In 2014, he joined the cast of Kanal D series Zeytin Tepesi as Akın, and also became a part of the popular comedy crime series Ulan İstanbul, portraying the character of Ceyhun. In 2015, he gained further recognition with his role in the Star TV romantic comedy series Kiralık Aşk, where he played the character of Sinan Karakaya. He also had a leading role in İstanbullu Gelin, which was aired from 2017 to 2019.
