Stephen Curry, a professional basketball player for the Golden State Warriors in the NBA, is widely recognized as the greatest shooter in the history of the league and one of the all-time greatest players.

Born in Akron, Ohio in 1988, Curry grew up in a basketball-oriented family. His father, Dell Curry, had a successful 16-year career in the NBA, while his mother, Sonya Curry, played college volleyball. Immersed in the sport from an early age, Curry began playing basketball himself.

Curry attended Davidson College in North Carolina, where he played college basketball. During his time there, he achieved All-American status twice and led the Wildcats to the Elite Eight in 2008. Following his sophomore season, Curry declared for the NBA draft.

In 2009, the Warriors selected Curry as the seventh overall pick. He swiftly established himself as one of the league’s premier players, leading the Warriors to their first championship in 40 years in 2015. Since then, Curry has secured two more championships with the team and has been honored as the NBA Most Valuable Player on two occasions.

Known for his exceptional scoring ability, Curry is particularly renowned for his three-point shooting prowess. He holds the NBA record for the most three-pointers made in a single season, achieving this feat three times. Moreover, he holds the all-time records for three-pointers made both in the regular season and the playoffs.

Beyond his scoring ability, Curry is also a skilled passer and a solid defender. As a well-rounded player, he exerts significant influence on the court and is considered one of the most dominant forces in the NBA.
