Teevee original series took home the grand prize at the 2023 New Media Content Awards ceremony on April 16.

‘New Media Content Award’, hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, is held for the 6th time this year.

The New Media Content Award, now in its sixth year, is an award ceremony designed to revitalize the domestic new media content production environment by discovering and rewarding excellent video contents served on online video service platforms and media operators who have contributed to the development of the industry, and is hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organized by the Korea Creative Content Agency. The awards are divided into a work award and a special award, with one grand prize and three excellent awards, and two special awards for media providers.

This year’s grand prize winner, “Ransom,” is the first Korean drama to win the “Screenplay Award” at the Cannes International Series Festival in France, where it was recognized for its quality, box office, and popularity.
