Richard Mofe-Damijo, also known as RMD, is a well-known Nigerian actor and politician. Born on July 6, 1961, he has achieved great success in his career. In 2005, he was honored with the African Movie Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role, showcasing his exceptional talent. Apart from his acting prowess, Mofe-Damijo has also ventured into politics. Since January 2009, he has held the esteemed position of Commissioner for Culture and Tourism in Delta State, Nigeria.
Mofe-Damijo’s journey began in Warri, Delta State, Nigeria, where he was born. He received his early education at Midwest College, Warri, and later attended Anglican Grammar School, where he actively participated in the Drama Club. With a passion for the arts, he further pursued his education at the University of Benin, specializing in Theater Arts.
In 1997, Mofe-Damijo made a decision to broaden his knowledge and enrolled in the University of Lagos to study law. He dedicated himself to his studies and successfully graduated in 2004, proving his determination and commitment to continuous growth and learning.
