Stephen Friedman Gallery is delighted to be reopening to the public on Tuesday 13 April 2021. ‘Threadbare’ will be presented in Gallery 1, featuring new and historical works by Jonathan Baldock, Huguette Caland, Jeffrey Gibson and Tau Lewis. Challenging issues such as identity, gender, sexuality and race, the works in ‘Threadbare’ explore the transformative and performative qualities associated with textiles through their inherent connection with the body.
Coinciding with ‘Threadbare’ Brazilian artist Luiz Zerbini will present ‘Fire’ in Gallery 2, following his acclaimed solo show at South London Gallery in 2018. There is no need to schedule your visit in advance. However the gallery will be operating in accordance with government guidelines, with a limit of six persons at any one time and physical distancing measures throughout.
Within walking distance of the galleries, ‘Stephen Friedman Gallery at the London House of Modernity’ will open for the first time since its digital launch in January 2021. Click here to book your visit to the exhibition at 14 Cavendish Square.
