Two concurrent exhibitions of monumental sculpture by George Rickey (1907–2002) have been extended through May 1, 2022, by popular demand.

George Rickey: Monumental Sculpture on Park Avenue presents nine sculptures along the central median on Park Avenue between 52nd and 56th Streets. Staged in collaboration with The Sculpture Committee of The Fund for Park Avenue and the NYC Parks’ Art in the Parks program, the major public installation features a collection Rickey’s classic, monumental kinetic sculptures—many of which have not been exhibited in many years.

In the Kasmin Sculpture Garden, a simultaneous installation features an additional three large-scale sculptures, viewable from The High Line at 27th Street.

“The Rickey Estate and Foundation are very excited by the enthusiastic public response to this showing of George Rickey’s work. He would be honored to see these 12 works prominently displayed on Park Avenue and in the Kasmin Sculpture Garden in Chelsea,” says Philip Rickey, son of the artist.
