X (2022) by Ti West - Movie Reviews

X is a horror movie written and directed by Ti West, starring Jenna Ortega, Brittany Snow and Mia Goth.

Premise

Set in the late 1970’s, it tells the story of a young group of filmmakers who choose a small town in Texas to produce an adult movie. This does not sit well with the elderly couple who own the house the movie is being filmed in, and things are about to take a bizarre turn.

Our opinion

In spite of it not being a masterpiece, it does have its quirkiness. The story is unfolds in an unexpected and interesting way. It has many well thought out cinematic references. It is well filmed movie, with creative editing, it is a horror movie worth watching. Will there be a sequel?
