I Believe in Santa (2022)

I Believe in Santa is a romantic comedy starring Christina Moore y John Ducey. It is directed by Alex Ranarivelo.

Are you expecting another cookie cutter rom-com set in New York? Well, then you are in for a surprise. This flick isn’t set in New York.

Premise

Lisa thinks she’s finally met the man of her dreams until she finds out he still believes in Santa Claus.

About the Movie

Do you remember The Noel Diary? Possibly not, because it was neither a grand movie nor was it intended to stay on the anyone’s retina for its visuals. If that movie was not outstanding, this new Netflix Christmas number is even less so, exhibiting its TV production arsenal and following the manual on how to produce a limited budget, family friendly, clichéd and light movie without dying in the process.

One has to be very undemanding not to notice this “fast-food” piece that we are being subjected to, though, not wanting to be cruel, we will admit it harms no one.

It is an easy feature, with a slightly quirky premise, sympathetic characters that are in equal measure anodyne, and that have the good fortune of being played by good actors. The performances are as good as the script allows them to be, and the cast take on each their respective role well.
