Eye of the Collector. The next generation alternative to a traditional art fair launches in London. Founded by Nazy Vassegh. Invitation only: 13 -15 May 2020. Public viewing: 16 May 2020

The first edition of Eye of the Collector, the next generation alternative to a traditional art fair, will launch in central London, May 2020. Without booths or boundaries, Eye of the Collector is a creatively driven selling exhibition that will take guests on an intimate artistic journey from ancient to contemporary. Set in an elegant historic location, guests will discover works of art across all disciplines, presented with a modern eye in a grand domestic setting.

Works will be selected from leading galleries, dealers and artists to create a multi-layered dialogue between the art and its architectural surroundings, thereby providing a new way to appreciate and buy art works. Works from established artists will be shown alongside their lesser known contemporaries to create a journey of discovery and rediscovery and broaden the price points on offer. The fair will present 30-40 galleries and artists, with participants selected by a curatorial committee.

Conceived by Nazy Vassegh, Eye of the Collector will be for collectors, curators, art professionals, interior designers, architects and art insiders. Entry will be by invitation only between 13-15 May and open to the public on 16 May.

On the launch Nazy commented:

“When you enter a collector’s home, rarely do you see works from just one period on show. Eye of the Collector is a next generation art event, created for collectors and patrons. It will provide a unique opportunity for showcasing works across the artistic spectrum in a new and dynamic format”.

This exciting new cultural event will sit alongside other notable fairs and auctions in May in the capital, further cementing it as a significant week in the London arts and collecting calendar.
