Metroย Picturesย is presenting a different artistโs film or series of shorts each weekend to stream online from Friday at noon until Sunday at midnight (Eastern Time).
This week we are screening three short films made by Cindy Sherman while she was an undergraduate atย Buffalo State College. Inย Doll Clothes, which combines live action and animated sequences, a paper doll (played by Sherman) comes to life and dresses herself before a pair of large human hands enters the frame to put the doll and the clothes back into their respective sleeves.ย Birdย is a short documentary featuring Shermanโs blind pet dove. Inย Unhappy Hookerย Sherman plays a prostitute who paces back and forth impatiently keeping watch for a client before an unexpected twistย brings the film to an end.
