Galerie Lelong & Co., New York, is pleased to announce an upcoming dialogue between the artist Leonardo Drew and Mary Sabbatino for “Galerie Lelong Conversations,” a series of talks that present an inside look into how an exhibition is developed.

Joining us from his studio in Brooklyn, viewers will get to see a preview of the artist’s newest projects; including the materials and processes he is currently engaging with. Drew and Sabbatino will also discuss his first outdoor installation, City in the Grass, which was commisioned by Madison Square Park Conservancy in 2019. The work is currently on view at the North Carolina Museum of Art and will travel to the Mississippi Museum of Art.

After making landfall near Cameron, Louisiana, as a category 4 storm, Hurricane Laura continued to move northward over western Louisiana. The Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) on NOAA-20 acquired this image of Hurricane Laura at 2:50 a.m. Central Daylight Time on August 27, 2020, about two hours after the storm made landfall. Clouds are shown in infrared using brightness temperature data, which is useful for distinguishing cooler cloud structures from the warmer surface below. That data is overlaid on composite imagery of city lights from NASA’s Black Marble dataset. Credits: NASA's Earth Observatory
