Galway International Arts Festival and Galway 2020

Galway International Arts Festival and Galway 2020, European Capital of Culture, present a major new site-specific commission by John Gerrard.

Gerrard’s Mirror Pavilion, composed of a highly reflective mirrored cube with an LED wall display, will present two software works — Corn Work and Leaf Work (2020) — installed by the River Corrib at Galway’s Claddagh Quay and at Derrigimlagh Bog in Connemara respectively.

Live Online Conversation with Artistic Director of Galway International Arts Festival Paul Fahy

John Gerrard will be in live online conversation with Paul Fahy to discuss the making of both works on Thursday, 6 September 2020, 6pm IST. The talk will be live-streamed from Galway International Arts Festival’s Facebook and YouTube channels.
