Yossi Milo is pleased to participate in the 2023 edition of Dallas Art Fair, taking place at the Fashion Industry Gallery in the Dallas Arts District from Thursday, April 20, to Sunday, April 23, 2023. The gallery’s presentation will feature artists who interrogate the materiality of the photographic image, questioning the line between medium and subject. Our booth includes works by Matthew Brandt, Sarah Anne Johnson, Kathrin Linkersdorff, Meghann Riepenhoff, Alison Rossiter, and Shikeith.
Kathrin Linkersdorff (German; b. 1966) will present work from her series Fairies, showcasing the delicacy and ephemeral beauty of flowers with cutting precision. Also featured will be work by Sarah Anne Johnson (b. 1976; Canadian), whose enhanced photographs of lush forests suggest a whimsical, metaphysical world beyond what can be seen through a lens. Challenging the very medium of photography itself is Matthew Brandt (b. 1982; American), who creates his artworks using physical elements from the subjects he photographs; Meghann Riepenhoff (b. 1979; American), whose large-scale cyanotypes depict the direct imprint of water in its varied forms; and Alison Rossiter (b. 1953; American), who reveals latent imagery and creates striking minimal compositions with expired, vintage photo paper. Our booth will also feature Shikeith’s (American, b. 1989) new silkscreen paintings, which pair minimal swaths of blue with imagery of Black men engaged in spiritual ritual, advancing his meditation on the color blue in relation to Blackness.
