Plot

Young middle-class Jordan Belfort (Leonardo DiCaprio), a hard-partying, drug addicted New York stockbroker and owner of the company Stratton Oakmont, refuses to cooperate in a massive securities fraud case that involves widespread corruption on Wall Street and in the corporate banking world, including mob infiltration. Based on the autobiography by Jordan Belfort. (Filmaffinity)

Es la historia de Jordan Belfort (Leonardo DiCaprio), que ha llegado a Nueva York con la sana intención de… forrarse. Para ello, y tras un desastroso incio, no duda en emplear sus habilidades de las maneras más imaginativas.

Movie Reviews

“A movie that huffs and puffs and nearly blows its own house down, but holds together by sheer virtue of its furious filmmaking energy and a Leonardo DiCaprio star turn so electric it could wake the dead.” Scott Foundas: Variety

“A brazen three-hour cinematic bender of sex and drugs set to the tune of financial chaos, ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ is undoubtedly the craziest movie of Martin Scorsese’s career.” Eric Kohn: IndieWire

“Scorsese’s camera energizes all he can, in every way he can as a propulsive filmmaker. But around the 80-minute mark the bullet train of a protagonist begins to run in circles, however maniacally. (…) Rating: ?? (out of 4)” Michael Phillips: Chicago Tribune

Margot Elise Robbie was born on July 2, 1990 in Dalby, Australia.

After a few roles in teen comedies, Margot Robbie became known for the series Neighbors until she later starred in Pan Am (2011). Scorsese made her the not-at-all-good wife in The Wolf of Wall Street (2013) -he wasn’t exactly “a saint” either – and the roles rained down on her.

She was nominated for an Academy Award for I, Tonya (2017) and for the terrific Bombshell (2019) and has great performances in films like Mary Queen of Scots (2018) and Tarantino‘s Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood (2019).
