Inception is a 2010 thriller movie directed by Christopher Nolan. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio. With Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Elliot Page, Ken Watanabe and Marion Cotillard..

It is an absolutely wonderful movie that will attract you and will make you think.

The Movie

And then there is Mr. Leonardo DiCaprio, an actor who, at the beginning, I never liked but… one has to face the facts and if you have performed in the best movies of the last ten years…I better keep my mouth shut as I’m still as ugly as ever but at least nobody will insult me.

There are also renowned supporting actors like Tom Hardy or Cillian Murphy (usual in Nolan’s movies), Ellen Page and the always beautiful and elegant Marion Cotillard… well, and another typical of Nolan, the great Michael Caine.

A magnificent and careful production with a (amazing) budget of 168 million dollars and it reached to collect (remember that this is only in movie theaters), the fortune of 850 million (I get lost when they give me these numbers, anyway…. What a pity).

The script is magnificent, based on an excellent story about people who enter into each other’s dreams and end up overlapping. Believable characters, fantastic and varied settings and a music that engages and keeps the rhythm all the time. The clothes could have been bad but neither… the make-up and the aging of some characters is well achieved.

An absolutely brilliant movie that, if you are the only ones who haven’t seen it, you have gone too far. I have seen it a few times and it is one of my favorites (the other two are The Wolf of Wall Street – with Mr. DiCaprio, and I wasn’t supposed to like him, and another Oscar he should have been given- and Life of Pi).

Our Opinion

Well, five stars. I don’t mind if some people say it has too many plot twists and that it could have been more intimist and such (let’s see how you convince the production company to cough up 185 million then).

Be happy or unhappy, but you’re going to love Inception.

Movie Reviews

“If movies are shared dreams, then Christopher Nolan is surely one of Hollywood’s most inventive dreamers, given the evidence of his commandingly clever ‘Inception'” Justin Chang: Variety

“With ‘Inception’, writer/director Christopher Nolan not only cements his status as Hollywood’s most innovative filmmaker, he has created a daring genre: the surrealist heist thriller” Claudia Puig: USA Today

“It is wholly original, cut from new cloth, and yet structured with action movie basics so it feels like it makes more sense than (quite possibly) it does. (…) Rating: ???? (out of four)” Roger Ebert: Chicago Sun-Times
