In 1989, hhe made her film debut with her father, Ron Howward, in Parenthood. After that, she starred in two movies directed by M. Night Shyamalan (The Sixth Sesne): The Village in 2044 and Lady in the Water (2006). In 2008, she was nominated for a Golden Globe for the movie, As You Like It.
