Synopsis
A nomadic musician who signed to perform at a wedding has the misfortune of falling in love with the bride, whom he tries to save from her family.
Review
This seems to be an independent production that distinguishes itself from other Turkish productions that have recently been streamed on Netflix. Being more comical, and less telenovela-esque than what we have previously seen on this platform.
The cinematorgraphy is quite good, teleporting us to the a region where the Dom community lives, with very good photography of the landscape, and really good use of the light. Also in close-ups the savvy use of natural light adds a mystical touch to the story.
We are invited to experience something unique. It is presented with lighthearted comedy, although the story is quite dramatic. The performances are convincing, with the required theatrics to lighten the ambiance. Erkan Kolçak Köstendil who plays the role of the bride does it remarkably well, the decisiveness of the character is aptly portrayed with quirkiness and authenticity.
