The Anthrax Attacks is a BBC produced documentary directed by Dan Krauss. It is a dramatic deep dive into the investigations of the attacks with anthrax shortly after 9/11.

About the Documentary

This documentary delves into the anthrax attacks and traces the investigation of these, it includes interviews with scientists, victims, FBI agents, and other officials involved in the case investigation, as well as a few dramatized scenes recreating some interrogations, and of course, some archive footage. Being produced by the BBC, it counts on that quality stamp.

Anthrax is a rare infectious disease caused by the bacterium Bacillus anthracis. Anthrax occurs naturally around the world in wild and domestic hoofed animals, especially cattle, sheep, goats, camels and antelopes.

It was presumed that it was a terrorist attack, until the FBI’s initial investigations led to the conclusion that that particular strain of anthrax had come about within the U.S.
