Premise
Left heartbroken after Romeo begins to pursue her cousin Juliet, Rosaline schemes to foil the famous romance and win back her guy in this comedic twist of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet.
About the Movie
This is a hilarious new take on the romantic classic, and it is well produced to top it off. Part of the hilarity is the contrast between the contemporary script and the classical settings, also the interesting turn in the story. Nothing is too good for satire, and in this case the always revered Shakespeare.
This is definitely a good bet for the weekend if you want a good laugh. The dialogues are funny, the performances are totally up to par, and the cheeky take is refreshing. Even Shakespeare purists might be amused. Remember the playwright himself did have a sense of humor.
