Fergus McCaffrey is proud to present an overdue introduction to the seductive and sometimes disquieting work of Leiko Ikemura, the Japanese born / Berlin based painter and sculptor. The artist has had a highly acclaimed five-decade career in Europe and Asia, but remarkably this is her first solo exhibition in New York City.

The exhibition opens on November 4th and will feature 40 paintings, works on paper, and sculptures in ceramic and glass, created between 1981 and 2022. These works will be displayed on both floors of the gallery. The artist will be present at the opening reception, which takes place at the New York gallery between 6 – 8 PM on the same day.
