Premise
The three burglars, Zuza, Kinga and Alicja, find themselves between a rock and a hard place after a failed heist, and must lay low. Where better than a nursing home to hide out?
About the Series
The premise in and of itself is hilarious, so we are off to a promising start, and great expectations.
In eight episodes we follow these colorful characters, wonderfully performed by Magdalena Kuta, Małgorzata Potocka and Anna Romantowska.
We have seen similar themes on screen before. Take, for instance, Going in Style (2017) with Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine and Alan Arkin, and it is a formula that always seems to work in comedy, and never gets old (no, no pun intended). The protagonists are likeable, full wise discretion, but funnily human.
The production of the series is good, very good actually, counting on a good script, good sets and cinematography. And as a piece that primarily relies on the characters and their stories, it has surprisingly well crafted photography.
Our Opinion
This is definitely entertaining, with a good premise, and fantastic performances. As for the dubbing, it is quite good, the voice actors and the voice-over direction have nailed it. Nothing seems to be lost in translation, that we know of, as we get to laugh along to the shticks.
