Emily in Paris is the hit series created by Darren Star and Andrew Fleming starring Lily Collins. This season still counts on the fantastic costume design by Marylin Fitoussi.
Emily has decided to prolong her stay in Paris, after her torrid fling with Daniel. There is plenty of couture, spiffy characters and Emily is as chipper as ever.
When ambitious Chicago marketing exec Emily unexpectedly lands her dream job in Paris, she embraces a new life as she juggles work, friends and romance.
Emily still communicates in English after having spent a few years in Paris. A lighthearted, clichéd series that is probably a delight for youngsters who dream of the cool Parisian life with cool outfits, très chic offices and houses, and formidable lalaland scenarios.
However off the series might be in terms of realism, it is a colorful and amusing number. Emily is a nicely imperfect character that makes her relatable to the audience, and her pals are the perfect complement to complete the circle of cute coolness. The costume design is enough to make any fashionista want to see the series, all of it elevated by the excellent the soundtrack and atmospherics.
