Multi-award-winning, PLATINUM-selling group, James Barker Band releases their RECORDS Nashville label-debut single “Meet Your Mama,” out everywhere now. With a midtempo melody and swoon-worthy lyrics, this radio-ready love song perfectly captures the excitement and curiosity that comes while falling in love, and the eagerness to know the places and people that shaped them. Penned by Barker alongside Travis Wood, Gavin Slate, and Todd Clark, “Meet Your Mama” offers the perfect romantic gesture ahead of Valentine’s Day, with Barker singing “Girl I wanna meet your mama / Drink a beer with your old man / Ride all around your hometown / Fall for the girl you were back then.”

 LISTEN TO “MEET YOUR MAMA”

“This song has an honesty to it and I think that’s going to make it really relatable for a lot of people,” shares Barker of the track. “Everyone remembers that feeling of being early on in a relationship and wanting to know everything about that person. That’s really what this song is all about, and of course nothing is more important than meeting the mom, the person that made them who they are.”

The new track comes just days after the powerhouse group announced their recent signing with RECORDS Nashville, industry veteran Barry Weiss’ joint venture with Sony Music Entertainment. After amassing a dedicated fanbase with their impressive four GOLD-certified No. 1 tracks, the foursome earned themselves two CMA nominations for the Jeff Walker Global Country Artist Award and became the first Canadian Country act to play at C2C Festival. With a proven track record of shattering records and selling out shows across North America, JBB, together with its newly revamped team, is poised to take its success to new heights.
