Kendrick was born in Portland, Maine and began her career in musical theater at a very young age. As she continued to hone her craft over the years, she moved on to television and film. She earned numerous awards for her performances in Rocket Science (2007) and Up In The Air (2009). However, it was her starring role as Beca Mitchell in the Pitch Perfect franchise that skyrocketed her to stardom. As a result of this role, she sang in both films and subsequently landed recording contracts with Universal Music Group and Republic Records.

Kendrick is best known for her sharp wit and comedic timing. She is highly active on social media and often uses it to share her thoughts and opinions on topics ranging from pop culture to politics. She also has an amazing podcast called Anna Faris Is Unqualified where she speaks candidly about life, relationships, and more. Additionally, she has recently started producing her own projects through her production company called Grumitt Handprint Pictures.
