Throughout her career she has garnered many awards and accolades for her work, including a Critics’ Choice Television Award for Best Actress in a Drama Series and two Emmy Award nominations.
Caplan was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. As a child she attended Alexander Hamilton High School before being accepted into Juilliard’s drama program where she studied acting. In 2004 she made her big screen debut with the film Mean Girls which was a runaway success that catapulted Caplan to fame.
