The plot of Gladiator 2 has yet to be released, but it will feature Pedro Pascal, Paul Mescal, and Barry Keoghan in leading roles. Pascal will play a new character, while Mescal will play a Roman soldier and Keoghan will play Emperor Geta, who is believed to be the film’s antagonist. The film will also feature Connie Nielsen, who played Lucilla in the original film, and will follow the story of her son Lucius, who was rescued by Maximus at the end of the first film.
Gladiator 2 is the sequel to the 2000 film Gladiator, which starred Russell Crowe as Maximus, a Roman general who becomes a gladiator after he’s targeted by Joaquin Phoenix’s Commodus.
