Stevenson had recently been cast in the lead role for historical drama 1242: Gateway to the West. He began his acting career in the early 1990s and appeared in various European TV series and films before landing his first big-screen role in The Theory of Flight. Stevenson is best known for his role as Volstagg in Marvel’s Thor franchise. He also appeared in other popular TV shows such as Black Sails and Reef Break.
