Young Patricia Aguilar disappears, leaving her family devastated. They soon discover that she has gone to Peru, seduced by the guru of a sect, and begin the struggle to get her back, even though Patricia resists. Taking the viewpoint of the protagonists, this story is a tale of a family overcoming tragedy.
