Nathalie Emmanuel is an English actress, singer, and model. She is best known for her role as Missandei in the HBO series Game of Thrones, as well as supporting roles in Furious 7, Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials, and the Fast & Furious film franchise. She has also starred in a variety of films including The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, Spider-Man: Far From Home, Momentum and Animalympics.

Born on March 2nd 1989 in Southend-on-Sea, England to a Dominican father and an English mother of Antiguan descent, she was noticed by an agent while performing at a youth theatre week when she was nine years old. Emmanuel then went on to appear in commercials and stage productions before landing her first major acting gig in 2006 on the British soap opera Hollyoaks as Sasha Valentine.

Emmanuel made her feature film debut in 2009 with the horror flick Demonic and has since had roles in various films such as Tyler Perry’s The Single Moms Club (2014) and Furious 7 (2015). In 2016 she began portraying Missandei on Game of Thrones and that same year won Breakthrough Performance at the 11th Annual Young Hollywood Awards for her work on the show.

In addition to acting, Emmanuel is also a talented singer having recorded two songs “Breathe” and “Put It All On Me” which have been featured in television shows such as Gossip Girl (2008) and Euphoria (2019). Furthermore, she’s been featured in campaigns for CoverGirl cosmetics and American Eagle Outfitters.

In her spare time, Emmanuel is an avid supporter of the charity Save the Children and enjoys travelling, cooking, yoga and playing video games.

She currently resides in London and continues to take on a variety of acting roles while working towards becoming an even more successful actress.
