Demet Özdemir, born on February 26, 1992, is a Turkish actress and former dancer. She rose to fame through her roles in popular TV shows like “Erkenci Kuş,” “Love Tactics,” and “Adım Farah. Demet Özdemir’s talent and skill in both dance and acting have gained her increasing recognition.

Demet Özdemir was born on February 26, 1992, as the youngest of three children. When she was seven years old, her parents divorced, and she moved to Istanbul with her mother and siblings.

Her grandmother was a member of the Turkish minority in Bulgaria and immigrated from Bulgaria to Turkey. Later, her grandmother and brother immigrated to Germany. Sadly, her grandmother passed away in Germany in October 2022.

On August 28, 2022, Demet Özdemir married musician and actor Oğuzhan Koç. However, in April 2023, the couple announced their decision to get a divorce. They officially divorced on May 8, 2023.

Initially, Demet Özdemir started her career as a backup dancer for Bengü and later joined the dance group Efes Kızları. She gained further recognition by appearing in Mustafa Sandal’s music video “Ateş Et ve Unut.

She had her first casting for the fantasy series “Sana Bir Sır Vereceğim” on Fox, where she played the character “Aylin” with electric power alongside her first partner Ekin Koç. This role became a phenomenon among young audiences, and the series developed a loyal fanbase. However, since it was broadcasted before prime time, it wasn’t well-known among adult viewers. Demet Özdemir also portrayed the character “Ayla” in the historical series “Kurt Seyit ve Şura” and played “Demet” in the movie “Tut Sözünü. Additionally, she played the character “Aslı” in Star TV’s series “Çilek Kokusu” and appeared in Bengü’s music video “Hodri Meydan.

In 2016, Demet Özdemir played the lead role of “Lale Yenilmez” in the Turkish romantic comedy series “No 309. The series aired for 65 episodes and concluded on October 25, 2017. It gained popularity not only in Turkey but also in countries like Venezuela, Paraguay, Chile, Bolivia, Spain, Romania, and Hungary. Demet Özdemir also starred in the dance-comedy film “Sen Kiminle Dans Ediyorsun,” written by Burak Aksak, the famous writer of the surreal comedy “Leyla ile Mecnun.

From 2018 to 2019, she played the lead role of “Sanem” in the Turkish romantic comedy series “Erkenci Kuş” (Daydreamer) opposite Can Yaman. Her performance in this series earned her the Best Actress award at the 2019 Murex d’Or in Lebanon. “Erkenci Kuş” was also broadcasted during prime time in Italy, and Demet Özdemir was invited to the popular entertainment show “Verissimo,” where her interview was watched by over 3. million people.

In November 2019, Demet Özdemir became a brand ambassador for Pantene Turkey.

Between 2019 and 2021, she played the lead role of “Zeynep” in the TV series “Doğduğun Ev Kaderindir” (My Home, My Destiny). The series, produced by OGM Pictures and directed by Çağrı Bayrak, premiered on TV8 on December 25, 2019. The script of the series is inspired by Gülseren Budayıcıoğlu’s novel “Camdaki Kız.
