Dunkirk Reviews

“The result is so clearly “a Christopher Nolan film” — from its immersive, full-body suspense to the sophisticated way he manipulates time and space — that his fans will eagerly follow en masse to witness the achievement. And what an achievement it is!” Peter Debruge: Variety

“Nolan has crafted a film that’s sensational in every sense of the word; it aims for both the heart and the head, to be sure, but arrives there via the central nervous system.” Alonso Duralde: The Wrap

“Dunkirk is an impressionist masterpiece (…) Using a risky, even radical narrative structure that splits the storytelling into three intercut chronologies of different duration (…) Nolan, who wrote the script himself, presents the brutal truth of the situation with lashing, pitiless directness.” Todd McCarthy: The Hollywood Reporter
