Babylon is a period piece directed by Damien Chazelle – creator of First Man and Whiplash. It stars Margot Robbie and Brad Pitt.

This will be the second time the two actors appear together in a movie, the first being Once Upon A Time… in Hollywood.

Premise

Babylon tells the very interesting story of the transition from silent film to sound movies during the roaring 1920’s. A tale of outsized ambition and outrageous excess, tracing the rise and fall of multiple characters during an era of unbridled decadence and depravity in early Hollywood.

Margot Robbie is an Australian actress known for the movies The Wolf of Wall Street (2013), Bombshell (2019) and Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood (2019).

Margot Elise Robbie was born on July 2, 1990 in Dalby, Australia.

After a few roles in teen comedies, Margot Robbie became known for the series Neighbors until she later starred in Pan Am (2011). Scorsese made her the not-at-all-good wife in The Wolf of Wall Street (2013) -he wasn’t exactly “a saint” either – and the roles rained down on her.

She was nominated for an Academy Award for I, Tonya (2017) and for the terrific Bombshell (2019) and has great performances in films like Mary Queen of Scots (2018) and Tarantino‘s Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood (2019).

She plays the role as Harley Queen in The Suicide Squad (2021) and in 2021, she will be Barbie in Barbie (2023), alongside Ryan Gosling playing the role of Ken.
