“Find Me Falling” is a Netflix romantic comedy starring Harry Connick Jr. and Agni Scott.

Every now and then, Netflix comes to “surprise” us with a love story that, coincidentally or not, is (eerily) similar to the previous ones: two people find their common course thanks to the magic of love. These movies have a special characteristic: he or she is a tourist from the big city who goes to a smaller but much more charming and touristic place.

These types of movies cost little and always, always work for the target audience, who consume them religiously and without missing an appointment.

“Find Me Falling” is one of those films that meets each and every one of the rules of this tourist-romantic genre.

There’s an audience for everything and, even if it’s not going to be liked by the critics or win any Oscars, “Find Me Falling” will give you exactly what you’re looking for.

Plot

A famous singer buys a house on an island in Cyprus without knowing the local legend: the property is located in front of a cliff world famous for suicides.

There he will meet a mysterious and beautiful singer who will make him regain his taste for life.

Actors: Harry Connick Jr. and Agni Scott

First of all, we have a singing star playing, precisely, a music star. The actor, pianist and composer is Harry Connick Jr. He was born in 1967 and is no longer a boy of 20, so he has the ideal role for a mature and seductive man who, on the other hand, lived better times in music when he was 30 years old. Time has passed and, both in the character he plays and in real life, he’s still a star, but he’s no longer in the charts or in fashion. Harry Connick Jr. fits the role and does it well, although his thing is music, but he gives a good performance.

In the female role we have Agni Scott, a beautiful actress who, despite having a dozen films behind her, failed to make the leap in her career as a leading actress. Maybe she will make it with this film: she plays Sia, a singer who lives as she can and has a lot of character. Good performance, but she won’t win an Oscar either because her character doesn’t have enough dramatic overtones and she can’t show her talent.

Our opinion about “Find Me Falling”

A genre film that, without a hint of originality, merely squeezes the already squeezed tourist-romantic film formula. It is neither better nor worse than the hundreds of films that preceded it.
Simply one more.
