Rebel Moon: A child of Fire is the first of a two part sci-fi epic directed by Zack Snyder, starring Sofia Boutella, Cleopatra Coleman, Charlie Hunnam and Ray Fisher. It will debut on Netflix December 22nd. Part two, ‘Rebel Moon: The Scargiver’, is set for release on April 19, 2024.
Premise
In a distant galaxy, a peaceful colony on the outer edge faces a dire threat from the armies of a tyrannical ruling force. Kora, a mysterious individual residing among the villagers, emerges as their last hope for survival.
With the daunting task of locating skilled fighters who will join her in an improbable resistance against the oppressive Mother World, Kora gathers a small group of warriors. This diverse assembly consists of outsiders, rebels, commoners, and war orphans from various worlds, all driven by a shared desire for redemption and vengeance.
As the looming shadow of an entire Realm descends upon an unlikely moon, a monumental battle ensues to determine the destiny of the galaxy. Through this struggle, a new alliance of heroes is forged.

Zack Snyder
Zachary Edward Snyder (born March 1, 1966) is an American film director, producer, screenwriter, and cinematographer. He made his feature film debut in 2004 with Dawn of the Dead, a remake of the 1978 horror film of the same name. Since then, he has directed or produced a number of comic book and superhero films, including 300 (2007) and Watchmen (2009), as well as the Superman film that started the DC Extended Universe, Man of Steel (2013), and its follow-ups, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) and Justice League (2017). A director’s cut for Justice League was released in 2021. He also directed the computer-animated film Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole (2010), the psychological action film Sucker Punch (2011), and the zombie heist film Army of the Dead (2021).
