Review
As is expected from the Untold series, this documentary follows the same formula – plenty of archive footage, and interviews with the main parties involved in the case, amongst them the protagonist himself. It is well produced, well edited, and the interviews come across as sincere. The story in ‘Untold: Operation Flagrant Foul’ is worth recounting, as there is plenty of intrigue, and it is after all concerning the cream of the crop in basketball, the NBA.
These confessionary documentaries themed around the sports world seem to be the new big thing. It is understandable too, as there is a guaranteed audience, i.e. the sports fans, and as it turns out there is a lot more going on behind the scenes in this multi-billion dollar industries than meets the eye. In line with this concept we were recently offered another documentary on the same streaming platform, concerning the Figo affair, which proved to be very much in demand. We are sure to see more of this sort of documentaries, let it be in series or single feature.
