Do filmmakers expect a movie to be made exclusively with a stunningly attractive lead couple? Something similar must have crossed the producers’ minds, and they succeeded the first time, making it difficult to fail with the same mindset and premises this time around.
It seems that the film industry (or certain internet moguls) doesn’t mind shamelessly copying the same formula without any need for originality. “Love Tactics 2” is one of those films that insist on repeating the formula, and to make matters worse, they excel at it. It’s a highly professional film in every aspect that once again explores the battle of the sexes and marriage between two sculpturally beautiful individuals, leading to amusing yet uninspiring consequences.
“Love Tactics 2” has good production values, impressive sets, and acceptable editing. . and they replicate the Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson formula, but this time in its Turkish version, featuring Demet Özdemir and Şükrü Özyıldız, who are not only incredibly attractive but also charming and capable actors (especially Özdemir), despite their physically spectacular appearances that would seem incongruous in a dramatic role.
It’s a film tailor-made for these two actors, revolving around their charm and flirtations. What more does a romantic comedy need? They’ve got it right—a group of “accomplices” who add to the protagonists’ charm and make them feel like the alpha actors of the film, ensuring that no one, absolutely no one, steals their spotlight.
“Love Tactics 2” attempts to be modern within the realm of pure classicism, trying to break the rules without actually breaking any.
Are you looking for a completely predictable film? We don’t say it pejoratively, because sometimes one feels good about something predictable and enjoyable, harmless and not daring.
Our Opinion
I’m repeating myself, but so do romantic comedies, and they keep being made: the leads are so good-looking, charming, and fantastic that we would be afraid to even look at them if we bumped into them on the street.
It’s a predictably charming and pleasantly light film, with just the right amount of daring to not shock or bore.
Plot
Asli believes that marriage is a scam, and she says it out loud. But when her suitor Kerem unexpectedly agrees, she does everything in her power to manipulate him into proposing.
