Review

A very, I repeat very, well produced film. It is the kind of movie that could be catalogued a psychological thriller, but will have you in bewildered wondering, “who the heck has written this?” It is a movie that carries the story well, and unveils itself through the drama the protagonist (played by the notable Rebecca Hall) goes through.

It stands out, remarkably so, by its handling of the script, the performances, and how well it is pieced together. With the direction of this movie Andrew Semans can stand proud of having crafted an extraordinary piece of work, supported by an impressive cast.

There are no unnecessary special effects, as the true challenge in this movie is in the mind and psychology of the story itself.

It is a true psychological thriller that really digs into the mind to the point of being horrifying. With few bloody Dantesque scenes of gore and such, his movie does not lean much on it; it is the screenplay and the characters that make it one great movie.

Our opinion

This movie tells a story that deserves to be told and narrated in the remarkable way it is. Need we say that it’s definitely recommendable?

Other reviews

Hall’s intensity should surprise no one familiar with her past work, but here she seems to stretch out on the edge of an existential razor to an extent that you may worry for her as much as you do for the character.
