Movie Reviews

“‘Seance’ works best when viewed as a prequel to another film, one with a mythology that Barrett only bumps up against in this one” Kate Erbland: IndieWire

“Most of the deaths are bland, and the victims even blander (…) Still, the taut writing, Waterhouse, and bursts of lively violence give this high school-set slasher a passing grade (…) Rating: ??½ (out of 5)” Meagan Navarro: Bloody Disgusting

“[While Barrett] shows competence behind the camera (…) he also seems to make what should be a fun genre romp an odd flatline, leaving the question of what exactly he was trying to achieve.” Ethan Vestby: The Film Stage
