Movie Reviews

“Meticulously detailed and never less than fascinating, ‘The Shining’ may be the first movie that ever made its audience jump with a title that simply says ‘Tuesday’.” Janet Maslin: The New York Times

“With everything to work with, director Stanley Kubrick has teamed with jumpy Jack Nicholson to destroy all that was so terrifying about Stephen King’s bestseller” Variety Staff: Variety

“[It] enhances everything that’s legitimately unnerving about King’s book (…) Themes and plot, as with many Kubrick films, are in service of the filmic form, not vice versa (…) Rating: ???? (out of 4)” Eric Henderson: Slant

Our Opinion
