Inyoung Hwang Performs A Violin Recital | Kumho Art Hall Yonsei

Violinist In-Young Hwang, who is known for her delicate expressiveness and sensuous playing, will give a recital on Sunday, September 3, at 7:30 p.m. at Kumho Art Hall Yonsei (located in the basement of Baekyangnuri, Yonsei University).

Hwang graduated from Seonhwa Arts Middle and High School and Seoul National University College of Music, and holds a master’s degree and advanced degree from Yale University School of Music, USA, and is a graduate of the Korean National University of Arts Soloist Program.

She has been invited to perform at the Bowdoin International Music Festival and the Music Academy of the West, invited to perform chamber music at the Whitney Center, given a recital at the Morse Recital Hall, served as a member of the New Haven Symphony Orchestra, was selected as a new artist by the Lotte Foundation in Korea, and performed at the Blue House, the National Assembly, the Seoul Cultural Foundation, and the City of Seoul.

In addition to her active performing career, she has taught at the Korea National University of Arts, Busan University, Yewon School, Seoul National University of Arts, Seonhwa Arts Middle School, Seonhwa Arts High School, Gyewon Arts Middle School, Gyeonggi Arts High School, Busan Arts High School, and the Korea Arts and Gifted Education Center.

In this recital, violinist Hwang In-young will perform Mozart’s “Violin Sonata No. 26, K. 378,” the last Romantic composer of the 20th century, Rachmaninoff’s “Salon Suite, Op. 6,” a hidden Swedish master, Aulin’s “Four Watercolors,” and Brahms’ “Violin Sonata No. 3, Op. 108,” which is often referred to as 3B alongside Bach and Beethoven.

The concert, which will be filled with masterpieces from classical to romantic music history and composers representing their home countries, is organized by Reed Arts. Tickets are 20,000 won for all seats and can be purchased through Interpark Tickets.
