Jessie Murph and Maren Morris Release Texas

Today, Jessie Murph has released her new single “Texas” featuring GRAMMY-winning artist Maren Morris. Listen HERE. Fusing Jessie’s modern sound and country roots, the track finds her and Maren trading verses about being left in the lurch after a failed relationship. “Texas” arrives alongside a dark rodeo-themed official video starring both artists. Watch the Nicki Fletcher and Mason Allen-directed visual:

In speaking about “Texas,” Jessie says: “I’ve been singing Maren’s songs since I was a little girl. She’s someone I’ve always looked up to and I’m so grateful to have her as my first ever feature – especially on a song like ‘Texas’ that I love so much!”

Maren adds: “Being a Texan, the title alone of this song grabbed my attention. It’s a vulnerable breakup song with teeth. Jessie is so grounded and thoughtful in what she’s doing, and I love that we got to collaborate on this song together.”

2023 is proving to be another standout year for the Nashville-born/Alabama-raised vocalist and songwriter. Named an ‘Artist to Watch’ by Genius, Pandora, and Amazon Music, Jessie released her debut mixtape drowning in February and was recently featured on the FAST X official soundtrack with “Nothing Else Matters.” In May she shared “Cowboys and Angels,” which, along with “Texas,” ushers in a new era for Jessie that etches raw emotion into strikingly sincere songs laced with country-style storytelling, hip hop-infused production, and alternative experimentation anchored by her unassuming pop appeal.

Last week the 18-year-old artist announced her North American headline tour slated for the fall. Due to overwhelming fan demand, new dates and venue upgrades were added as soon as tickets went on sale to the general public with Nashville, two nights in Washington DC, Chicago, and more already sold out. Spanning 35 cities, the 37-date leg of shows kicks of September 13 and follows Jessie’s first-ever headline tour earlier this year that saw her perform to packed crowds singing along to every word. ‘The Cowboys and Angels Tour’ marks Jessie’s largest run in the US and Canada to date, upgrading her from club venues such as Baby’s All Right in NY and The Roxy in LA to Terminal 5 and The Novo, respectively. She will also take the summer festival circuit by storm with prominent sets at Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, Breakaway, and Life is Beautiful.
