Directed by London-based visual creative Sam Davies (known for his work with Burberry, Metronomy, For Those I Love and more), the music video for ‘criminal’ sees Nemah up, close and personal, donning different guises whilst sharing a captivating performance of her latest single. The visual is interspersed with surveillance footage, hazy imagery and warm portraiture, exploring the complexities of Nemah’s personality.
2022 marked the release of Nemah’s debut EP titled eleven achers, a 6-track project encapsulating the young Canadian’s vulnerability and innermost thoughts towards her religious heritage and complex cultural upbringing. She highlights pivotal moments in her life to date through her thought-provoking lyrics, which are becoming her musical signature. The EP boasts previous singles, ‘paper thin’, ‘dollar signs’ and her artistic defining debut offering ‘what if i took it off for you?’.
Last week, Nemah performed a set at COLORS’ creative outpost in Paris, alongside the platform’s alumni and upcoming talent across music, art, fashion and education. She will embark on her debut North American run of dates next February. Kicking off in Toronto on Thursday 16th February 2023, Nemah will perform much-anticipated dates in Montreal and New York before rounding off her show run in Los Angeles – dates below.
