Niia is a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist with a unique sound that blends jazz, pop, hip-hop, and classical music. She was born in Needham, Massachusetts, and began her musical journey at a young age. She was trained by her mother in classical piano and began singing and performing at the age of 13.
Niia moved to New York City in her early twenties to pursue her music career. She quickly gained a reputation as a talented singer and songwriter, and she soon began to work with some of the biggest names in the industry. She collaborated with Wyclef Jean on the hit single “Sweetest Girl (Dollar Bill)” in 2007, and she has also worked with producers such as Robin Hannibal and Just Blaze.
Niia has released three albums, I (2017), If I Should Die (2021), and Bobby Deerfield (2023). Her music has been praised for its soulful vocals, sophisticated production, and introspective lyrics. She has toured extensively throughout the United States and Europe, and she has performed at some of the biggest music festivals in the world.
