In this second episode of “Unsolved Mysteries” Netflix immerses us in a terrible case: Amanda Antoni was found in a basement, covered in blood.
Lee, her husband, was the one who found his wife in the basement. After several investigations, her husband, visiting his mother’s house, was ruled out.
The Calgary police continued with the inquiries, investigating her sister, and the murder was widely covered by the media.
In the end, and after the autopsy, the cause of death was a blow. After DNA tests, there was only Amanda’s blood, and during the year and a half that the investigation lasted, no explanation was found for this event, which, by all accounts, could have been an accident.
But a phone call from her husband just before Amanda’s death and a bark from the puppy suggest otherwise.
About the documentary
If you like documentaries about the investigation itself, this episode of “Unsolved Mysteries” will be to your liking. It analyzes everything and goes through the police investigation from its beginnings, without ever revealing anything, like a thriller movie that avoids giving us all the facts of the event to finally surprise us.
As always in these documentaries, it has testimonies of the family, of Lee Antoni himself and of many of the police officers who were in charge of the case that, finally, remained unsolved.
