Kareena Kapoor Khan

Kareena Kapoor, also known informally as Bebo, is an Indian film actress who predominantly appears in Bollywood movies. She comes from a family deeply rooted in the film industry, with both her parents, Randhir Kapoor and Babita, as well as her elder sister Karisma, being actors. As a result, Kapoor has been in the public eye from a young age. However, she didn’t make her acting debut until the year 2000, in the film Refugee, for which she received the Filmfare Best Female Debut Award. One of her most successful movies to date is the melodrama Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, which became the highest-grossing Indian film in the overseas market in 2001.

Following a period of criticism for taking on repetitive roles between 2002 and 2003, Kapoor decided to challenge herself by accepting more demanding and diverse characters in order to avoid being typecast. This led to her being praised by critics for her versatility from 2004 to 2006. Her portrayal of a sex worker in the movie Chameli (2004) proved to be a pivotal moment in her career and earned her the Filmfare Special Performance Award. She went on to receive two Critics Awards for Best Actress at the Filmfare ceremony for her exceptional performances in the critically acclaimed films Dev (2004) and Omkara (2006).

In 2007, Kapoor received the Filmfare Best Actress Award for her role in the romantic comedy film Jab We Met, directed by Imtiaz Ali. While the box office success of her films has varied, Kapoor has firmly established herself as one of the leading actresses in the Hindi film industry. Her personal life also receives significant media attention in India, with frequent coverage of her relationship with actor Saif Ali Khan and speculation about their potential marriage.
