28 Days Haunted (2022)

28 Days Haunted is a TV contest that dabbles with paranormal phenomenon, true or suggested. It is directed by Joe Berlinger.

Premise

Three teams each spend 28 days in some of America’s most haunted locations for a paranormal experiment based on the theories of Ed and Lorraine Warren.

About the Series

If you are in the mood for a paranormal pill, well ’28 Days Haunted’ will do the trick. While we follow the contestants, and the scares they have to face, we cannot but question if they are in a state of suggestion, or if there are in fact paranormal activities that they must confront.

It is filmed to be pure entertainment, as there is not much science covered in this. It is after all a TV contest.

Our Opinion

It is entertaining as many challenge based TV contests are, with that extra “silly” touch. It is not a novel concept, but it is easy to watch as the thrills are there (let it be because one believes in the supposed paranormal activity, or one is horrified to witness how easily suggestible the contestants are, and that they subject themselves to this kind of psych experiment). It is pure sensationalism.
